Roush Fenway Racing announced on Wednesday that Ryan Newman has been treated and released from Halifax Medical Center.
Earlier in the day, the team said that Newman “continued to show great improvement” after Monday night’s last-lap accident at Daytona International Speedway and that he was alert and walking around Halifax Medical Center.
The team also posted a photo of Newman with his two daughters earlier and said, “true to his jovial nature, he has also been joking around with staff, friends and family while playing with his two daughters.”
Hours later, Newman was officially released from Halifax.
