Justin Allgaier held off his teammate Elliott Sadler in a thrilling finish to the OneMain Financial 200 at Dover International Speedway to claim the win and the Dash 4 Cash bonus.
Allgaier scored his sixth career series win and won the $100,000 Dash 4 Cash for the fourth time in his career. It’s the seventh time in the last nine Dash 4 Cash races that a JR Motorsports driver won the $100,000 bonus.
“That race, you couldn’t ask for anything better,” Allgaier said in Victory Lane. “All the guys at JR Motorsports have done a fantastic job.
“You can never think about these finishes, about how they are going to come. When we were coming to the checkered and we were in the fence, I was thinking how disappointed I would be. It was so much fun today.”
Allgaier led three times for 104 laps, including the final 68, and had only led 19 laps in his prior 14 Dover starts.

Sadler was forced to settle for second. He is the only driver to finish in the top 10 in all 10 races in 2018 and he scored his sixth runner-up finish since his last win at Kentucky in September 2016.
“I really want to get those guys a win,” Elliott said. “I’m tired of finishing in the top five and don’t have a checkered flag to show for it.”
Elliott remains on top of the series point standings.
“He did everything he should’ve done,” Sadler said of his battle with Allgaier. “I should’ve probably figured out a better way to make the pass. I want my guys to enjoy that part. I want them to enjoy Victory Lane, it’s not about me.”
Daniel Hemric, Christopher Bell and Tyler Reddick rounded out the top five.
“It’s extremely frustrating, but my Lord, we’re doing everything we can,” Hemric said. “We’re having fun, we have a shot at it, that’s all you can ask for.”
Johnny Sauter, filling in for the suspended Spencer Gallagher in the GMS Racing entry, Noah Gragson, Matt Tifft, Austin Cindric and pole sitter Brandon Jones completed the first 10 finishers.
The NASCAR Xfinity Series is off until Saturday, May 26th at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
