STP 500: Starting Lineup | Pit Stall Assignments
The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series STP 500 and the conclusion of the Camping World Truck Series Alpha Energy Solutions 250 have been postponed to Monday following persistent snowfall throughout the night.
The Alpha Energy Solutions 250 is scheduled for 11 a.m. ET on Monday, followed by the STP 500 at 2 p.m. ET, both live on the Motor Racing Network.
Way more snow than anticipated last night-Met with track/local authorities this morning-resources need to be dedicated to local community-roads-trees down, etc. We’ll put on a great day of @NASCAR Monday. #doubleheader Always a tough call but the right one in this case.

MRN will still air the pre-race show today at 1 p.m. ET to get you ready for tomorrow’s doubleheader of racing at the .526-mile track.
The start of the snow in the Martinsville area yesterday canceled qualifying for the STP 500 and the lineup was set by owner points. Defending series champion, and last weekend’s winner, Martin Truex Jr. will start from the pole and will have the first pit stall.
“Martinsville it’s definitely a big advantage to start out front,” Truex Jr. said. “First pit box obviously, everyone knows it’s a big deal here and that’s where you want to be so you get that clean stall in and out and not get torn up on pit road.”
The Camping World Truck Series race will resume at lap 23 with Ben Rhodes as the leader. The race was postponed when rain that turned into snow hit the track at 2:26 p.m. ET on Saturday.
