Brad Keselowski signaled retribution may be coming for Carson Hocevar following Sunday’s Cook Out Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway.
Keselowski, driver and co-owner of the No. 6 RFK Racing Ford, was sent spinning off Hocevar’s bumper at Lap 107 when Hocevar washed up the track and turned Keselowski.

After finishing 23rd, the 2012 NASCAR Cup Series champion was still plenty displeased with Hocevar’s driving. Keselowski assessed, “he ran into me,” and said there is no history between the two of them … with a caveat.
“No, but there will be,” Keselowski told Above The Yellow Line Media. “His day is coming and it’s coming hard. Watch out, Carson.”
Hocevar, who entered The Chase presented by Mobil 1 as the No. 12 seed, was unfazed when informed of Keselowski’s apparent anger.
“I’ll tighten my belts,” said Hocevar, who finished 11th in the opening race of the NASCAR postseason.
Hocevar added the contact was not intentional, but also offered no apologies when discussing the incident with multiple media outlets.
“He spun,” a nonchalant Hocevar told USA Network with a chuckle. “I don’t know what happened. He spun.”

Hocevar has built a noisy reputation for unapologetic contact and incidents on the track while not caring for the repercussions. On Sunday, “The Hurricane” stormed through the field from a 34th-place start to nearly nabbing a top-10 finish.
“I do everything for TV and entertainment purposes based off everybody else,” Hocevar added, tongue-in-cheek. “So I don’t know. Whatever makes us good TV. I just do it for the clicks.”
Asked by Motorsport if Hocevar wants or plans to talk to Keselowski about Sunday’s contact, Hocevar offered a blunt: “No, not really.”
Ahead of Sunday’s race, Hocevar noted he would offer a discount on his website based on his positions gained from his poor starting position. That added up to a 23% on his merchandise following the Southern 500 — until he added another 6% off, seemingly in honor of Keselowski’s No. 6 car.

Hocevar leaves Darlington 12th in the points standings, 89 points behind series leader Denny Hamlin. His 11th-place finish marked the second-best of the Chevrolets behind fifth-place finisher Kyle Larson.
“I mean we’re the second-highest Chevy there, so the 5 (Larson) was kind of in a league of their own for our camp,” Hocevar said. “But yeah, overall Toyotas are stupid-fast. They did really good, so I’m pretty happy, honestly, from starting 34th and just kind of finished up there. It’s kind of the best of what we could do there.”
