Origin of Alfredo’s Nickname

The last name might be a giveaway, but Anthony Alfredo picked up his nickname “Fast Pasta” in his first year of racing.

Alfredo was racing a limited Late Model stock car at Hickory Motor Speedway when he heard it for the first time.

“Pretty sure Trevor Townsend was announcing there and called me that over the loudspeaker,” Alfredo said. “When I had moved on to drive for JR Motorsports in a Late Model in the CARS Tour those races were broadcasted and they called me that nickname and it kind of took off from there.”

Now, Alfredo has a “Fast Pasta” logo that shows him eating a bowl of pasta that he uses for many things including his pit sign, apparel and his Twitch account.

“I fully embraced it,” Alfredo said. “I think the fans love it to.”
