MRN Classic Races Set for Sunday


In place of the four races the Motor Racing Network was scheduled to broadcast over the next eight weeks, MRN will re-air a previous classic race from each respective track starting this Sunday.

The races will air each Sunday at 1 p.m. ET at MRN.com and on select MRN Affiliate stations.

Sunday, March 22 – Homestead-Miami Speedway: 2004 Ford 400

Roush Racing made it a one-two punch in the 2004 season-ending Ford 400 as Greg Biffle won the race and Kurt Busch captured championship.

Sunday, April 19 – Richmond Raceway: 2008 Crown Royal Presents the Dan Lowry 400

Clint Bowyer benefitted from Kyle Busch and Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s late-race tangle to take the win in the Crown Royal Presents the Dan Lowry 400 at Richmond Raceway.

Sunday, April 26 – Talladega Superspeedway: 2011 Aaron’s 499

Jimmie Johnson got a last lap push from teammate Dale Earnhardt Jr. to edge Clint Bowyer at the finish line to tie the closest finish in NASCAR history in the Aaron’s 499 at Talladega Superspeedway.

Sunday, May 3 – Dover International Speedway: 2016 AAA 400 Drive For Autism

Matt Kenseth captured his first win of the 2016 season (37th of 39 career wins) after he held off a hard charging Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott in the AAA 400 Drive for Autism at Dover International Speedway.
