Christopher Bell will make his NASCAR Cup Series debut when he kicks off his rookie season in the Daytona 500.
A product of Toyota’s driver development program, Bell is coming off his sophomore season in the NASCAR Xfinity Series where he scored a series-leading eight wins and finished third in the series standings.
In 2018, Bell set the rookie single season Xfinity Series wins record with seven victories and advanced to the Championship 4, ultimately finishing fourth.
Two years after making his first start in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series at Iowa Speedway, Bell won the series championship in 2017 after claiming five wins and 21 top 10s. All of Bell’s Gander Truck starts to date (54) have come with Kyle Busch Motorsports.
Bell, who began his career racing sprint and midget cars, won the Chili Bowl Nationals for the third consecutive year in 2019.
His transition to pavement came in 2014 while running Late Models for Kyle Busch Motorsports. Additional highlights early in his stock car career came in 2016 in the ARCA Series when he led a race-high 91 laps, including the final 44, of the 200-lap event at Salem Speedway en route to victory in his first-career start. He made it a sweep at the Indiana track with the victory in the September event.
In 2014, Bell collected 27 feature wins while competing in 108 events between Midgets (18), Winged Sprint Cars (seven), Non-Winged Sprint Cars (one) and Super Late Models (one). Bell captured the 2013 United States Auto Club National Midget championship and was named USAC Midget Rookie of the Year.
