Matt DiBenedetto moved from Northern California to North Carolina at the age of 13 to pursue a career as a racecar driver. In 2007, he won the “Tour Rookie of the Year” award in the UARA Stars Series. Two years later, he became the youngest driver to win at Bristol Motor Speedway when he captured the UARA Stars Late Model Tour race.
DiBenedetto finished 14th in the 2009 K&N Pro Series East while running in just seven of the 11 races. He made his Xfinity Series debut in 2009 at Memphis and finished 14th.
DiBenedetto competed for BK Racing in the Cup Series in 2015 and again in 2016, when he posted a career-best finish of sixth at Bristol.
In 2017, DiBenedetto made the move to Go Fas Racing where he recorded two top-10 finishes on his way to a career-best 32nd-place finish in the standings.
Go Fas Racing announced that DiBenedetto and crew chief Gene Nead have agreed to a contract extension keeping them both with the No. 32 team for the 2018 season.
