NASCAR has suspended three members of the No. 11 Joe Gibbs Racing Team, including crew chief Chris Gabehart, for the next four races following an infraction in Sunday’s Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

The team violated section of the NASCAR Rule Book when ballast fell off the No. 11 car as pace laps were beginning for NASCAR’s longest race of the season.

In addition to Gabehart, car chief Brandon Griffeth and engineer Scott Simmons were suspended.

Hamlin was forced to pit road before the start to fix the issue. He finished 29th, seven laps down.
