NASCAR Suspends Dippel

8/28 Update: NASCAR Reinstates Dippel

NASCAR has indefinitely suspended Gander Outdoors Truck Series driver Tyler Dippel.

Dippel has been suspended for “actions detrimental” to the sport and violating the “code of conduct,” according to NASCAR although no other details behind the suspension were given.

Dippel drives the Young’s Motorsports No. 02 and was on the initial entry list for this weekend’s Chevy Silverado 250 at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park when the suspension was announced.

Dippel is a Rookie of the Year contender who did not qualify for the playoffs. He finished 24th in the most recent Truck Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway and is 13th in the standings with three top-10 finishes.
