MRN’s founders represent a diverse range of experience. They’ve been manufacturers and distributors. They’ve invested in manufacturing, distribution, technology, and service companies. They share an understanding of the Internet’s unprecedented ability to create new opportunities and have created MRN together to apply this forward thinking to specialty industries online.
Skip Klintworth, Founder–
Skip has over 35 years of experience operating, building, and investing in successful companies. Prior to MRN, Skip co-founded DWHP, a private equity player in health care. Skip was also the founder, CEO and chairman of the board for Promedix Corporation, an ecommerce company that streamlined the supply chain for specialty medical products. Skip's philanthropic interests include the founding of Dreamweaver medical a non-profit organization that provides healthcare supplies to surgical missions in developing countries. Skip and his wife created Profiles in Caring, the internationally syndicated TV show that highlights non-profit ventures. Last year the Klintworth's and the rest of the team behind Profiles launched the website, GoodTube.org, featuring nonprofit videos and opportunities for nonprofits to gain awareness.
Jon Callaghan, True Ventures, VC Partner–
As a board member, True founder Jon Callaghan has been integral to MRN's growth and development. Jon has founded three companies of his own, and he has a mighty track record of success in traditional venture capital investing. As for the rest of the firm, True targets the newest entrants into the largest emerging technology markets, including software, Internet, mobile, and digital media. Collectively and individually, True has experience investing in and managing early stage companies. Their record of past successes speaks for itself. The team has experience with over 100 early stage investments that have generated significant investment returns before, during, and after what they affectionately refer to as the first internet boom.
