DENVER, N.C. - JGL Racing will make a manufacturer change to Ford for the 2018 NASCAR XFINITY Series and has added Kaz Grala to its driver lineup.

The two-car team has fielded Toyotas for the last three years but is now switching to Ford Performance and entering a partnership with Roush Fenway Racing.

"We appreciate the support we've received from Toyota and Joe Gibbs Racing over the last few years," said JGL team owner James Whitener. "In order for our team to make the next step, we needed a more robust technical alliance. This opportunity with Ford Performance and Roush Fenway Racing provides us that."

In 2017, JGL Racing has fielded entries for drivers Dakoda Armstrong, Dylan Lupton, Corey LaJoie, Jeb Burton and Scott Lagasse Jr. With Armstrong, the No. 28 team narrowly missed the playoffs - by one spot - for the second season in a row.

Grala has signed a multi-year agreement that will see the 18-year-old drive the team's No. 24 Ford after he completes his first full season with GMS Racing in the Camping World Truck Series this weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

"I've been watching XFINITY races since I was a little kid so to compete at that high of a level is nothing short of a dream come true," said Grala, who qualified as the No. 8 seed in this year's Truck Series playoffs. He was eliminated from title contention in the first round following a 29th-place finish last month at Talladega Superspeedway.

"The relationship with Roush Fenway Racing will be beneficial to myself and JGL Racing," Grala said. "Plus, I'm from Boston so the alliance feels right for me. Ford's enthusiasm and aggression for building the best program possible is exciting."
