Kyle Busch won for the second consecutive week in the NASCAR XFINITY Series when he picked up the victory in Saturday's Overton's 200 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Busch inherited the lead during a series of green flag pit stops late in the race when Brad Keselowski was penalized for taking equipment out of his pit box. The pass through penalty with 30 laps to go in the race handed the race to Busch, who was never challenged for the lead as he headed to the checkered flag.

"You can’t always count on the fastest car to win the race, I guess,” Busch said after leading 77 laps on Saturday. “We can count on teamwork. We had that today and my guys did a great job in the pits and they gave me a great piece in order to go out here and contend with them.

“We put the pressure on, kept them close enough that I knew when we pit they were going to have to pit right after us, probably in a hurry because we were going to have a lap of tires on them. Overall, just a great day.”

It was Busch’s third win of the season and 89th of his NXS career.

Keselowski led 102 laps but the late pit road miscue cost him a shot at Victory Lane.

“Yeah, you pretty much just summed it up,” he said of the penalty. “I don’t have much better words than that. It is always fun being fast and leading the most laps and all that but we just didn’t put the whole race together today.”

Ryan Preece, also driving a Joe Gibbs Racing entry like Busch, finished second for his best career finish in 37 starts.

"This is for all the short track guys that might not get this opportunity," Preece said.

William Byron, Kyle Larson and Keselowski rounded out the top five.

Ben Kennedy, Elliott Sadler, Ty Dillon, Cole Custer and Brennan Poole completed the first 10 finishers.

Sadler leads Byron in the series standings by 45 points.

The NASCAR XFINITY Series now heads to Indianapolis Motor Speedway next Saturday afternoon.
