JOLIET, Ill. - Martin Truex Jr.'s Victory Lane celebration on Sunday at Chicagoland Speedway turned green thanks to race sponsor Nickelodeon.

After winning the Tales of the Turtles 400, Truex was brought back to his childhood - and the network's famous show "Double Dare" - when he was slimed after climbing from his race-winning No. 78 Furniture Row Toyota.

"I remember watching Nickelodeon as a kid, watching that show where it was like an obstacle course thing, they would get slimed all the time," Truex said. "I thought it was hilarious.  It's a lot funnier to watch people get slimed than it is to get slimed.  It's a lot slimier than I expected.  It was definitely worth it to get that after the race today. Thanks to Nickelodeon."

Truex becomes the latest athlete to get slimed, something that normally happens at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards.

"Just spent about five minutes in the bathroom washing my hands and face trying to get all the green stuff off," Truex said in the media center as he started his post-race interview.
