Daytona Stage Lengths Announced

NASCAR has announced the stage lengths for its three national-division races at Daytona International Speedway.The Daytona 500 on Feb. 26 will consist of two 60-lap stages with an 80-lap final stage to conclude this year’s running of "The Great American Race."
Stage lengths for the season-opening NextEra Energy Resources 250 Truck Series race and Powershares QQQ 300 XFINITY Series race were also unveiled.
The first and second stages of the Camping World Truck Series NextEra Energy Resources 250 on Feb. 24 will be 20 laps each with a 60-lap final stage. Stages 1 and 2 of the XFINITY Series Powershares QQQ 300 on Feb. 25 have been set at 30 laps with the final stage 60 laps.
Drivers will earn points for finishing in the top 10 of the opening two stages in all three races with the final stage awarding race points as they were distributed in previous years.
Stage wins also earn drivers one bonus point to be used in playoff seeding while overall race wins are worth five playoff points.
