NASCAR’s annual visit to Indianapolis Motor Speedway headlines a weekend of racing that includes the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship, K&N Pro Series West and the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series.
Sunday’s Crown Royal Presents the John Wayne Walding 400 marks the 21st time the Sprint Cup Series has competed at the famed "Brickyard." Points leader Jeff Gordon is seeking a record fifth victory in the race while Ryan Newman is the defending winner.
Teams will practice Friday and qualify Saturday afternoon to set the lineup for Sunday’s race, which is slated to take the green flag at 1:15 p.m. (ET).
Saturday afternoon, the Nationwide Series makes its third appearance at IMS for the Lilly Diabetes 250. Rookie Chase Elliott has a seven-point lead over JR Motorsports teammate Regan Smith in the standings with Elliott Sadler only eight behind. The green flag will fly on Saturday at approximately 4:45 p.m.
The TUDOR United SportsCar Championship also is part of the big weekend in Indianapolis with Friday's Brickyard Grand Prix. Motor Racing Network will present live coverage of the race beginning at 5:30 p.m. (ET).
You can listen on your local MRN radio affiliate or its website. The race will also stream live at MRN.com - which will be trackside in Indianapolis all weekend to bring you the latest breaking news, results, statistics, features, photos, audio, video and post-race analysis.
