Matt Kenseth didn't have a stellar night in Atlanta but with others suffering trouble he was still good enough to maintain the top spot in this week's Power Rankings:

1. Matt Kenseth: Fast early but plagued by gremlins, Kenseth had to settle for a 12th-place finish at Atlanta but still showed the 1.5-mile strength in supply.

Season-to-Date Driver Rating: 108.8
Point Standings: 6th
Previous Ranking: 1st

2. Kyle Busch: Chasing his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Kenseth for the top spot in the Chase, Busch is picking the right time to surge as the playoffs beckon only two weeks away.

Season-to-Date Driver Rating: 102.6
Point Standings: 5th
Previous Ranking: 7th

3. Jimmie Johnson: Two bad races in a row is coincidence, but is three a trend? It's certainly nothing we've seen from the five-time champion of late but Atlanta was another rough noght for the 48 bunch.

Season-to-Date Driver Rating: 106.6
Point Standings: 1st
Previous Ranking: 2nd

4. Joey Logano: Logano appears to be a man on a mission and has steadily driven to the top of the rankings on the strength of three impressive outings including his latest effort a second-place run on Sunday night.

Season-to-Date Driver Rating: 90.5
Point Standings: 8th
Previous Ranking: 9th

5. Kasey Kahne: Up and down won't win Kahne a championship. He was caught up in an early race melee Sunday night to ruin any chance of contending for a win and needs to find a way to eliminate the roller coaster ride by the time the Chase rolls around.

Season-to-Date Driver Rating: 99.0
Point Standings: 12th
Previous Ranking: 3rd

6. Clint Bowyer: Knocked out while leading by - wait for it - a Toyota engine failure. Joe Gibbs Racing and TRD claim it was an experiment but sour motors continue to haunt the manufacturer in 2013.

Season-to-Date Driver Rating: 93.9
Point Standings: 2nd
Previous Ranking: 4th

7. Kevin Harvick: A decent night to clinch a Chase spot but nothing special for the RCR team as it gets ready to see if Harvick can run for a championship in his farewell tour with the organization.

Season-to-Date Driver Rating: 93.1
Point Standings: 3rd
Previous Ranking: 5th

8. Carl Edwards: Fast early, trouble later and a feud with Jeff Gordon. All in a night's work for the Roush Fenway Racing driver who definitely had a car better than the 18th-place finish indicates.

Season-to-Date Driver Rating: 94.0
Point Standings: 4th
Previous Ranking: 6th

9. Kurt Busch: Even the doubters have to realize Busch is very much a player in the race to the Chase and the championship picture. A strong run in Atlanta resulting in a fourth-place finish for the Furniture Row Racing team.

Season-to-Date Driver Rating: 93.8
Point Standings: 10th
Previous Ranking: 10th

10. Dale Earnhardt Jr.: A decent night for Junior with a top-10 run but can this team challenge for a win. If not making the Chase won't be enough for a serious title run.

Season-to-Date Driver Rating: 94.8
Point Standings: 7th
Previous Ranking: 8th
