NASCAR returns to Bristol Motor Speedway on a busy racing weekend that will also see the K&N Pro Series East and West in action as well as the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series.
Saturday night’s IRWIN Tools Night Race at Bristol is the 24th stop of the 2013 Sprint Cup Series. With only a pair of races left on "The Road to Richmond," which will determine the final 12 drivers in this year’s Chase, every week becomes more pressure-packed.
Kasey Kahne will try for the Bristol season sweep after his March victory in "Thunder Valley."
Qualifying is set for Friday at 5:40 p.m. (ET) with the Nationwide Series then taking center stage later that evening for the Food City 250. Sam Hornish Jr. leads the series standings with the top five separated by only 18 points.
On Saturday night, one of the most popular events on the schedule is set to go with a 7:45 p.m. green flag on the IRWIN Tools Night Race. MotorRacingNetwork.com will be trackside in Bristol all weekend for late-breaking news, results, statistics, photos, audio, video and post-race analysis.
Elsewhere, the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East makes its debut at the Virginia International Raceway road course on Saturday for the Biscuitville 125. The K&N Pro Series West is also in action, traveling to Washington's Spokane County Raceway Park on Saturday night.
And the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series competes for the Oil City Cup on Friday and Saturday nights at Canada’s Castrol Raceway in Edmonton.
