MRN Weekend Preview

Pocono NSCS

NASCAR's return to Pocono Raceway headlines the weekend with Nationwide, K&N Pro Series, Whelen Modified Tour, Southern Modified Tour and World of Outlaws Sprint Cars also in action.

A NASCAR return to both Pocono Raceway and Iowa Speedway headlines the racing weekend with the K&N Pro Series, Whelen Modified Tour, Southern Modified Tour and World of Outlaws Sprint Cars also in action.

The Sprint Cup Series heads back to the 2.5-mile Pocono Raceway for Sunday’s GoBowling.com 400, the 21st race of the 2013 season.  Jimmie Johnson takes a 75-point lead over Clint Bowyer to "The Tricky Triangle," where he dominated the field in June’s first visit of 2013.

Qualifying is slated for Friday afternoon before the Camping World Truck Series takes to the track Saturday for the Pocono Mountains 125.  Matt Crafton leads rookie Jeb Burton by 48 points in the standings.  Motor Racing Network will have live coverage beginning at 12:30 p.m. (ET).

Then on Sunday, Motor Racing Network will begin its exclusive live flag-to-flag coverage of the GoBowling.com 400 at 12 p.m. ET.  MotorRacingNetwork.com will be trackside at Pocono all weekend for late-breaking news, results, features, statistics, photos, video, audio and post-race analysis.

Saturday night, the Nationwide Series heads back to Iowa Speedway for the U.S. Cellular 250 Presented by The Enlist Weed Control System.  Austin Dillon climbed to the top of the series standings in last week’s trip to Indianapolis.  Trevor Bayne won when the series competed at Iowa back in June.

Motor Racing Network will air live coverage of Saturday's race from Iowa beginning at 7:30 p.m.

You can hear all the broadcasts from Pocono and Iowa on your local Motor Racing Network affiliate or a live stream on its website.  MotorRacingNetwork.com will also stream live from both tracks.

Elsewhere in the racing world, a combined K&N Pro Series East and West race is slated Friday night at Iowa Speedway.

The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour travels to Stafford Motor Speedway on Friday night while the Southern Tour races at historic Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston-Salem, N.C., on Saturday.

And the World of Outlaw Sprint Car Series is at Missouri’s Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 on both Friday and Saturday nights.
