NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Bobby Labonte has been treated and released from a local hospital near his home in Trinity, North Carolina.

Labonte was involved in an accident while riding his bicycle near his home on Wednesday morning, August 28 and received three broken ribs. He was held overnight for observation. There were no other injuries.

Labonte was transported to the hospital by ambulance on Wednesday where he was diagnosed and was treated for his injuries.

Mike Bliss will replace Labonte in the No. 51 Phoenix Racing entry this weekend in Atlanta.
