A tripleheader at historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway headlines the racing weekend with the Sprint Cup, Nationwide and GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series all in action at "The Brickyard." Other venues will feature the K&N Pro Series West, NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series.
Sunday’s Crown Royal Presents the Samuel Deeds 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway marks the 20th year the Sprint Cup Series has competed at the famed oval. Jimmie Johnson brings the series points lead to Indy as he shoots for a fifth career win in one of the sport’s crown jewels.
Cup Series teams will have a pair of practice sessions on Friday to kick off the weekend. Then, the GRAND-AM Series takes center stage for the second annual Brickyard Grand Prix contested around Indy’s unique infield road course. Motor Racing Network will have live coverage of the race beginning at 5:15 p.m. (ET). You can listen to the broadcast on your local MRN radio affiliate, its website or hear a live stream at MotorRacingNetwork.com.
On Saturday, Sprint Cup Series teams will qualify to set the lineup for Sunday’s race. Later that afternoon, the Nationwide Series makes its second appearance on the 2.5-mile speedway for the Indiana 250. Former Indianapolis 500 winner Sam Hornish Jr. carries the series lead into the weekend.
