A NASCAR doubleheader at Michigan International Speedway headlines the racing weekend with the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series, Whelen Modified Tour and World of Outlaws also in action.
The 2-mile Michigan International Speedway is set to host the 15th race of the 2013 Sprint Cup Series season and Sunday’s Quicken Loans 400. Jimmie Johnson brings a 51-point lead over Carl Edwards in the series standings into the weekend on the strength of his third win of the year last week in Pocono. Dale Earnhardt Jr. is the defending race winner.
Motor Racing Network will carry live coverage of qualifying for the Quicken Loans 400 Friday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. ET.
Saturday afternoon the NASCAR Nationwide Series takes center stage for the Alliance Truck Parts 250. Regan Smith has a 23-point advantage over Sam Hornish Jr. in the standings. Motor Racing Network hits the air at 1:45 p.m. ET for live flag-to-flag coverage.
Motor Racing Network’s exclusive radio coverage of Sunday’s Quicken Loans 400 begins at 12 pm ET.
MotorRacingNetwork.com also will be trackside in Michigan all weekend for comprehensive coverage including breaking news, results, statistics, features, audio, video and post-race analysis.
The GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series travels to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio, for Saturday’s Diamond Cellar Classic. Motor Racing Network’s live coverage begins at 4:15 p.m. ET.
