SPARTA, Ky. - A NASCAR tripleheader at Kentucky Speedway headlines a very busy racing weekend with the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports car Series, Whelen Modified Tour and World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series all in action.
The Kentucky weekend kicked off Thursday night with the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series where Ty Dillon took the checkered flag in the UNOH 225.
Friday night, the Nationwide Series takes center stage for the Feed the Children 300. Regan Smith remains on top of the standings with Justin Allgaier now second 28 points behind and Sam Hornish Jr. third 30 off the pace.
Saturday night’s Quaker State 400 is the third Sprint Cup Series race held at Kentucky Speedway. Defending series champion Brad Keselowski won the 2012 edition. Jimmie Johnson carries a 25-point lead over Carl Edwards into the 17th race of the season.

Elsewhere, the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series visits historic Watkins Glen International for Sunday’s Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen. Motor Racing Network will carry live coverage beginning at 10:45 a.m. ET. The race will be carried live by local MRN stations and their websites, as well as a live stream at MotorRacingNetwork.com.
The Whelen Modified Tour makes a Saturday night trip to Riverhead Speedway. And the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series heads to LaSalle Speedway in Illinois on Friday night before heading to Wisconsin for a Saturday night stop at Beaver Dam Raceway and a Sunday show at Cedar Lake Speedway.
