Sunday’s Toyota/Save Mart 350 at the twisting Sonoma Raceway in northern California is the first of two road races for the Sprint Cup Series in 2013.

Jimmie Johnson brings a 31 point lead in the Sprint Cup Series standings over Carl Edwards into the weekend’s action.
For the first time in series history, a new road racing qualifying procedure will be in effect this weekend in Sonoma as drivers will take time in groups. Practice is scheduled for Friday with qualifying to set the field for the race slated for Saturday afternoon.
The K&N Pro Series West Series will also take to the track on Saturday for the Carneros 200.
Sunday’s Toyota SaveMart 350 is set to take the green flag at 3 p.m. ET.

The Nationwide Series will also turn left and right this weekend with Saturday's annual trip to Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin for the Johnsonville Sausage 200. Nelson Piquet Jr. scored his first career series win in last year's race around the four-mile track. Last week's Michigan winner Regan Smith has a 58 point advantage over Sam Hornish Jr. in the series standings.
