This weekend's NASCAR doubleheader at Talladega Superspeedway tops the racing calendar that also includes the K&N Pro Series West and World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series.
The mammoth 2.66-mile Talladega Superspeedway plays host to both the Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series. For Cup teams, it marks the Talladega debut of the new Gen-6 racecar and the second restrictor-plate race of 2013 after the Daytona 500.
Defending series champion Brad Keselowski won last year’s Aaron's 499 at Talladega while Matt Kenseth was victorious when the series returned in October. Sprint Cup qualifying is set for Saturday at 12:10 p.m (ET) with live coverage at MotorRacingNetwork.com.
Later that afternoon, the Nationwide Series will take center stage for the Aaron’s 312. Motor Racing Network goes on the air at 2:30 p.m. On Sunday, MRN's live flag-to-flag coverage of the Aaron’s 499 will begin at 12 p.m.
You can listen to all the weekend’s live Motor Racing Network broadcasts on your local radio affiliate or its website. In addition, MotorRacingNetwork.com will have live streams of all Talladega coverage - and is also trackside for breaking news, results, stats, photos, audio, video and post-race analysis.
Elsewhere in the racing world, the K&N Pro Series West visits historic Stockton 99 Speedway on Saturday night. And the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series has a two-day show at Ohio’s Eldora Speedway, on Friday and Saturday nights.
