FORT WORTH, Tex. - NASCAR confiscated parts from the Penske Racing Fords of Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano on Saturday after an issue was found in pre-race inspection.
Both teams had to thrash to fix the issue, which was in the rear-end housing of each car, in order to get the Fords ready for the running of the NRA 500 at Texas Motor Speedway.
Keselowski was able to keep his 16th starting position, but Logano had to start at the rear of the field because his car was not presented on the grid in time. The No. 22 Ford was still in inspection after pre-race festivities and was finally pushed out to pit road just as the field was getting ready to go.
If any penalties are to be handed out they will come following NASCAR review early this week.
