NASCAR’s first visit of the year to Bristol Motor Speedway tops this weekend’s racing schedule.
The high-banked, half-mile Tennessee oval will play host to three NASCAR divisions including the K&N Pro Series East season opener, the Nationwide Series and the Sprint Cup Series.
Sunday’s Food City 500 is the fourth stop of the 2013 Sprint Cup Series with three different drivers, manufacturers and organizations going to Victory Lane in the opening trio of races. It'll mark the debut of the new Gen-6 Sprint Cup Series car at BMS and is only the second event on the track’s reconfigured layout that was completed after this race last March.
Sprint Cup Series qualifying is set for Friday afternoon at 3:40 p.m. (ET.)
On Saturday, the Nationwide Series takes center stage for the Jeff Foxworthy Grit Chips 300. Drivers will qualify Saturday morning before taking the green flag for the season’s fourth race at 2:15 p.m. Later Saturday afternoon, the K&N Pro Series East division opens its 2013 schedule with the DRIVE4COPD 125 at 4:45 p.m.
Then on Sunday, the Food City 500 will go green at 1:15 p.m. (ET.)
