BRISTOL, Tenn. – Joey Logano and Denny Hamlin didn’t exactly see eye-to-eye in Sunday’s Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

The duo made contact early in the race that saw Logano forced to pit for damage after he was battling Jeff Gordon for the lead.

The lap 348 incident boiled over to some post race fireworks between the two when Logano raced over to Hamlin’s car to address the situation after the checkered flag.

They exchanged words before one of Hamlin’s crewmembers pulled Logano away, sparking a shoving match between the two teams.

“We were really coming up through the field really good," said Logano. "Then I got hit from behind and knocked the quarter-panel loose. Then I got real loose and couldn't stay on the lead lap. It's frustrating when you have a car that could possibly win it and get taken out from something like that. This team deserved better. The good news is we're fast. We have to be proud of that. Just sick of it."

Hamlin claimed he did nothing wrong and that it was simply a racing incident.

"You've got to control your car, and he slid up into me," Hamlin said. "I meant to run into him, but I didn't mean to spin him out. We finished bad, he finished bad, so it didn't really matter. He said he was coming for me, so we'll see what happens."

But Logano wasn’t done, taking to his Twitter account for another salvo.

“Hey @dennyhamlin great job protecting that genius brain of yours by keeping your helmet on," he Tweeted.

There has been bad blood between Logano and Hamlin since Daytona, when another Twitter war broke out.

"I never did anything wrong in Daytona," said Logano. "No, I think it's just driving like an idiot. That's all. I've got nothing good to say anymore. So whatever. I've got nothing good to say, I'm not going to say nothing."

Logano doesn’t chalk up the feud to the fact he and Hamlin were once teammates at Joe Gibbs Racing.

“No, not at all. I had to put up with him for years, so, whatever,” he said.
