From the rolling hills of upstate New York to America’s heartland, Motor Racing Network will hit the airwaves Saturday with a historic day of NASCAR coverage.

For the first time in the network’s 42-year history, it will air three live events from three different venues on the same day: the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series from Watkins Glen International, Camping World Truck Series competition from Kansas Speedway and the inaugural STP 300 Nationwide Series race in prime time from Chicagoland Speedway.

Sunday’s STP 400 Sprint Cup Series race from Kansas City will wrap up a full weekend of programming as the network kicks off the month of June.

MRN Radio’s Saturday tripleheader will begin with the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen at 12:45 p.m. (ET). Eli Gold and Preston Root will anchor the broadcast from the historic road course as the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series nears the mid-point of its 2011 schedule. Click to Listen to the Race

Kyle Busch goes after his fourth straight Truck Series victory later in the day, driving in the O’Reilly Auto Parts 250 at Kansas Speedway. The Camping World Truck Series features the tightest championship battle among NASCAR’s three top national series with the top five drivers separated by a mere 20 points. Rookie Cole Whitt currently holds the No. 1 spot by a single point over Johnny Sauter, who is the defending race winner at Kansas.

Then it’s on to Chicagoland Speedway for Saturday night’s STP 300 Nationwide Series race, with air time at 7:30 p.m. (ET). The MRN broadcast from Joliet, Ill., will be anchored by Kurt Becker and Jeff Striegle.

The scene shifts back to Kansas Speedway for Sunday’s STP 400 Sprint Cup Series race, where Greg Biffle has won two of the last four races on the 1.5-mile oval. Barney Hall and Joe Moore will have the call of both Saturday’s Truck Series race and Sprint Cup Series action from Kansas City, with air time Sunday at 12 p.m. (ET).

MRN’s broadcast month also will feature a Sprint Cup/Nationwide Series doubleheader at Michigan International Speedway on Father’s Day Weekend June 18-19, and conclude with Grand-Am and Nationwide Series competition from Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wis.
