BROOKLYN, Mich. - Kurt Busch scored the fourth straight pole for Penske Racing when he won the top spot for Sunday’s Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips 400 at Michigan International Speedway.

Busch toured the two-mile oval with a lap of 188.699 mph to take his third consecutive pole position in the Shell-Pennzoil Dodge.

The last two drivers to win three straight poles were Ryan Newman and Jeff Gordon in the 2007 season.

Dating back to teammate Brad Keselowski’s Coca-Cola 600 pole-wining run Memorial Day weekend, the Penske team has been perfect in the last four weeks.

“It’s a testament to the hard work by this race team,” said Busch after his qualifying effort. “We have shown we have speed and now we need to get this Dodge into Victory Lane on Sunday afternoon.”

David Reutimann will start the Michael Waltrip Racing Toyota outside the front row.

Matt Kenseth, Brian Vickers and Regan Smith rounded out the top five.

Sunday’s Heluva Good! Sour Cream and Dips 400 is slated for a 1:15 p.m. (ET) green flag. MRN Radio’s live coverage will begin at 12 Noon (ET).
