CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Wood Brothers Racing announced today during a press conference at the NASCAR Hall of Fame that they have secured sponsorship from Good Sam Club for Trevor Bayne to run next month's All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Bayne, who became eligible for the All-Star Race with his thrilling win in the season-opening Daytona 500, is currently one of 16 drivers that have locked down a spot with a victory in the last year.

Trevor BayneGood Sam Club is the sister company to Camping World and the partnership came about when Bayne's father approached the Chairman and CEO of the two companies, Marcus Lemonis, about helping to get his son into the May 21 race.

"Life is about relationships and make sure you build those relationships with respect and trust," Lemonis said. "The Bayne family has raised a really nice young man. He represents the industry well and I'm proud to have represent my business as well.

"We originally thought about putting Camping World on there, but we decided to go with a strong brand, actually a stronger brand (Good Sam Club) in our industry."

After opening the first seven races of the season driving a No. 21 paint scheme like the one David Pearson made famous, Bayne will switch to another retro paint scheme this weekend at Talladega Superspeedway. The Good Sam Club, who will also sponsor Bayne at Talladega, will be on a paint scheme that resembles Glen Wood's 1958 Ford convertible race car.

"It looks awesome," Bayne said about his new design. "It's got a real old school 21 on it. Even more old school than then one we have been running."

With Bayne's Daytona 500 winning car on display in Daytona as part of the Track Tours, Bayne and the team will turn to another restrictor-plate car.

"But it looks like I'm not going to turn into Spiderman, unfortunately.""We sent some ninjas into the museum and we switched the car out with a replica," Bayne joked. "It's a new car and we actually tested at Daytona for the tire test and it was really fast. Will have to wait and see at Talladega, hopefully it is."

Bayne, who had one of the strongest cars in the two-car drafts at Daytona, is anxious to see what the drafting will be like at Talladega after NASCAR announced a new restrictor-plate for Sunday's race.

"I don't know how the drafting is going to work out there," Bayne said. "It would be nice to see the two-car draft again."

This week Bayne was hospitalized for an insect bite on his left elbow that led back to the Martinsville race. After a week that saw swelling and a rash, Bayne decided to head to the hospital following his 17th-place finish at Texas Motor Speedway.

"My arm got a little numb in the race car so when we landed I just went to the hospital to get it checked out," Bayne said. "They gave me antibiotics and fluids and all that.

"But it looks like I'm not going to turn into Spiderman, unfortunately."
