A NASCAR tripleheader at Texas Motor Speedway headlines the racing calendar with the World of Outlaws season finale and Formula One also in action.

Race number eight of the Chase for the Sprint Cup is set to go on Sunday afternoon with the AAA Texas 500. Jimmie Johnson leads Denny Hamlin by 14 points with Kevin Harvick only 38 behind in the tightest championship battle since the Chase debuted in 2004.

Hamlin won last April’s visit to Texas and will look to become the first driver since Carl Edwards in 2008 to sweep Cup races at the 1.5-mile track.

MotorRacingNetwork.com will provide comprehensive coverage of all the weekend action in the Lone Star State beginning with Friday afternoon’s qualifying session for the AAA Texas 500, which is scheduled to start at 4:40 p.m. ET.

Friday night the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series takes center stage at TMS for the running of the WinStar World Casino 350k. MRN Radio's coverage of the race will start at 8:45 p.m. ET.

On Saturday afternoon the Nationwide Series will be in action for the O'Reilly Challenge. Kyle Busch will try for an amazing sixth straight Texas NWS win in the event which is slated for a 12:55 p.m. ET green flag.

Sunday’s AAA Texas 500 will begin at 3 p.m. ET.

Elsewhere in the racing world The Dirt Track at Charlotte Motor Speedway is the site of the season finale for the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars. Three nights of racing beginning on Thursday culminate in Saturday’s World Finals, which will be televised live by SPEED beginning at 7 p.m. ET.

And the Formula One Series travels to Brazil for the Grand Prix of Brazil. Fernando Alonso leads Mark Webber by 11 points in the championship standings with two races left in the season.
