Stewart Not Happy In Pocono

Despite a third-place finish in Sunday's Gillette Fusion ProGlide 500 at Pocono Raceway, Tony Stewart wasn't thrilled with the performance of his fellow competitors.

Stewart, the defending race winner, was upset with what he considered to be rough driving and unwise decisions by many in Sunday's field.

"You know, restarts were idiotic today," Stewart said following the race. "I've seen some of the worst driving I've ever seen in my life in a professional series right here today. So for anybody that's looking for drama for the next couple races, start looking 'cause I can promise I'm going to start making the highlight reel the next couple weeks."

Stewart's finish was good enough to move the two-time series champion up three spots in the point standings and he's now 13th heading into this weekend's trip to Michigan International Speedway.

Sunday's run was a turnaround from recent weeks of struggle for the Stewart-Haas Racing No. 14 entry.

"I feel like there's light at the end of the tunnel, but it's still a long ways away," he said. "We still got a lot of work to do."

Despite the third-place finish Stewart felt things could have been better and although he'll take the top five the veteran was still hoping for more.

"Not a very stellar day by any means," Stewart said. "Ended up with a top three. You know, obviously happy about that, but would have liked to have been running in the top three all day and end up that way.

"We just never got good track position all day. Finally when we got good track position at the end of the day, we were decent, obviously."
