Keys to Victory Lane
Johnson inherited the lead when the No. 48 got off pit road right before the race's final caution came out. From there, he was able to lead the final 23 laps en route to his second consecutive win at the two-mile Auto Club Speedway. Complete Results

Greg Biffle was slow on Friday during practice and qualifying, but after starting the race in 35th, brought his No. 16 Ford home 10th.

Hero to Zero
Juan Pablo Montoya started the race on the outside pole and led 29 laps early on, but was sidelined by an engine failure.

Notables
Matt Kenseth scored a seventh-place finish with new crew chief Todd Parrott calling his first race. And Scott Speed led for the second straight week and brought home the Team Red Bull No. 82 11th, one spot ahead of his teammate Brian Vickers.
