Darby To Leave Cup Post

CONCORD, N.C. - NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Director John Darby will assume a new post within the sanctioning body and a search for his replacement is on.

Darby has been the series director since 2002 and moved to NASCAR's top series after serving in the same capacity in the Busch Series.

He began his career at Rockford Speedway and worked his way through various levels within the NASCAR official system.

Darby will reportedly stay with the Sprint Cup Series to train his replacement once that hire is made.
