RacingOne concludes our annual NASCAR Fan Awards for the 2008 season with the final of 12 categories and a look back at the driver of the year in 2008.

Three drivers turned in stellar NASCAR seasons and all deserve consideration for this year's honor.

Carl Edwards tried his best to catch Jimmie Johnson in the final Sprint Cup Series standings and was one of the most impressive drivers of the campaign. Edwards won a series-leading nine times in 2008 and demonstrated a desire to win at nearly all costs, maybe most evident by his Bonzai last lap attempt to pass Johnson for the win at Kansas.

In the end Edwards compiled 19 top five and 27 top ten finishes behind-the-wheel of the Roush Fenway Racing No. 99 Ford and wound up 69 points behind in the final championship standings.

Busch made his first year as a member of the Joe Gibbs Racing team something special. The brash 23-year-old went on a regular season tear when he won eight times in the season's first 22 races.

He had 17 top five and 21 top ten finishes in his Sprint Cup Series campaign and was able to add ten Nationwide Series and three truck series victories for a staggering 21 win season across NASCAR's top three divisions.

Busch stumbled in the Chase to derail his title hopes but his 2008 season was one for the NASCAR record book.

But the driver who made the biggest mark in 2008 was Johnson, who tied Cale Yarborough as the only two drivers in the sport's history to win three consecutive championships.

Johnson win seven times and notched 15 top five and 22 top tens throughout the entire season but once again was at his best in the Chase.

He won three times during the playoff schedule and posted eight top tens in the ten race stretch to lock up his record-tying title.
