"Technology and NASCAR have always gone hand in hand, just like California Speedway and entertainment," said Speedway President Gillian Zucker. "Aligning the California Speedway brand with an entertainment technology leader like Sharp, makes great sense. Race fans who join us at the track for the Sharp AQUOS 500, will see first hand this critical race to determine the line up for the Chase for the NEXTEL Cup. Fans can watch the final 11 races of the season on high definition Sharp AQUOS LCD TV's, the next best thing to being there."
As the sponsor of the Sharp AQUOS 500, Sharp and 3M will receive signage and branding opportunities throughout the Speedway over the entirety of the race weekend. The brands will also participate in several pre-race opportunities including parade laps and will utilize the Speedway's large screen video displays to present information about their variety of products.
Sharp AQUOS LCD TV's combine breathtaking picture quality and beautiful designs, giving consumers a perfect balance of style and performance. Several models in the Sharp AQUOS LCD TV line feature 3M Vikuiti brightness enhancement films, which makes the TV "brighter in any light". With 3M Vikuiti films and Sharp's other proprietary LCD technologies, AQUOS LC-TV's produce clear, crisp and vibrant images not only in dark but bright rooms as well.
