It's back to the car of today for the NEXTEL Cup Series this weekend.

After two races with the "Car of Tomorrow," the current NEXTEL Cup machine will be back on track this weekend when the series visits Texas Motor Speedway for Sunday's Samsung 500.

The seventh race of the season headlines a doubleheader weekend at Texas that will also see the Busch Series in action on Saturday.

Texas has become one of the most competitive tracks in NASCAR with 12 different Cup winners in the circuit's 12 events held at the 1.5-mile superspeedway.

Tony Stewart is the most recent Texas winner, going to victory lane last November.

RacingOne's extensive coverage from Texas begins on Friday with Live Qualifying for the Samsung 500 at 5:10 p.m. (ET).

Saturday the Busch Series takes center stage for the O'Reilly 300, which will take the green flag at 3 p.m. (ET). ESPN2 and PRN will provide live coverage.

Sunday's Samsung 500 is slated for a 2 p.m. (ET) start with FOX and PRN providing coverage.

RacingOne will have the latest from Texas all weekend long including late-breaking news, results, statistics, photos, audio features, post-race analysis and more.

Elsewhere in the racing world, one of the most prestigious street circuit events in the country is set this weekend when the Champ Car World Series competes in the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach.

Sebastien Bourdais looks to bounce back from his disappointing season-opening effort at Las Vegas last week to follow-up his Long Beach win of a year ago. NBC will carry live coverage of the race on Sunday at 4 p.m. (ET).

Formula One's busy stretch continues this weekend with the Grand Prix of Bahrain. Fernando Alonso is the defending champion of the race and SPEED will provide live coverage of this year's edition Sunday morning beginning at 7 a.m. (ET)

The Strip at Las Vegas is the site of this weekend's NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series Summit Racing Nationals. Tony Schumacher, Jack Beckman and Richie Stevens, Jr. are the defending winners and ESPN2 will televise Sunday's final round eliminations beginning at 7 p.m. (ET).

And if the Midwest weather permits, the World of Outlaws will be in action for a two-day show at Ohio's Eldora Speedway with racing scheduled both Friday and Saturday night at Tony Stewart's famous dirt oval.

Stay with RacingOne for the latest in the world of racing all weekend long.
