February 23, 2007 | 12:00 A.M. EST
After the Daytona hoopla, the NEXTEL Cup Series heads west for the second race of the season.
In fact a NASCAR tripleheader at California Speedway headlines this weekend's racing calendar which will also find the NHRA and the World of Outlaws in action.
The Craftsman Truck Series and Busch Series will also be on the California card with Sunday's Cup Series Auto Club 500 headlining the weekend.
Matt Kenseth looks to repeat his California win of a year ago and after his strong Daytona 500 run, brings momentum to the two-mile facility. Kenseth needs another strong finish to help erase the 50 point penalty he was given following the Daytona 500 qualifying infractions.
