Wallace Signs TV Deal

Rusty Wallace will begin his broadcasting career in 2006 when he joins ABC/ESPN as a NASCAR reporter for "Sportscenter" as well as an analyst for the networks' coverage of Indy Racing League IndyCar Series races.

The recently retired NASCAR driver will begin his duties with the Daytona 500. He'll report from 20 NASCAR races throughout the season, providing segments on the ESPN news show.

In 2007, Wallace will move to become the lead analyst for ABC/ESPN when the network takes over the season's second half television coverage.

He'll also have a role in a new daily motorsports show that will air on ESPN2.

This season, Wallace will join ABC/ESPN's Indy Racing League broadcast team which includes the Indianapolis 500.
