Icountdown To Daytona:/I 59 Days

Entering its second season in 1950, NASCAR's Strictly Stock late model division is renamed Grand National.

On February 5, 1950, Harold Kite drove a Lincoln to victory in a 200-mile NASCAR Grand National race at the famed Daytona beach road course. It was Kite's first career start.

He finished 53 seconds ahead of 1949 champion Red Byron in a caution-free race.
