Sadler pulled away from Mark Martin on the race's final restart with ten laps to go to pick-up win number two of 2004. He won earlier this season at Texas Motor Speedway.
"I am so proud of this team," Sadler said. "It's a great, great day here in California. This is a dream come true, this is what I came to this team to drive this car for. We're California dreaming here tonight."
Kasey Kahne finished second, his fifth runnerup finish of the season. Martin was third followed by Jamie McMurray and Ryan Newman. Those finishes moved Newman, Jahne and Martin into the final three spot in the Chase standings.
Rookie Carl Edwards turned in anotyher impressive performance with a sixth place run. Scott Riggs, Dale Jarrett, Robby Gordon and Rusty Wallace completed the first ten finishers.
Jimmie Johnson 14th place finish coupled with teammate Jeff Gordon's blown engine, which relegated him to a 37th place finish, gave him the point lead.
With next Saturday night's race at Richmond International Raceway the final chance for drivers to qualify for the Top 10 championship chase, five drivers - McMurray, Bobby Labonte, Jarrett, Jeremy Mayfield and Kevin Harvick - still have a chance to make the cut.
