Burtons Hot Wheel Deal

CONCORD, N.C. – Roush Racing announced today that Hot Wheels will be carried as the primary sponsor on the No. 99 Ford of Jeff Burton at the Carolina Dodge Dealers 400 on March 21, 2004 at Darlington Raceway.

"The entire No. 99 team is looking forward to carrying the Hot Wheels logo on the No. 99 Ford at Darlington," said Burton. "The Hot Wheels brand is so widely recognized that it's really cool to be able to carry their marks on our car. I can remember having Hot Wheels cars all through my childhood and to have them be a part of our program in Darlington is really something special."

Hot Wheels is the exclusive die cast partner of Roush Racing at mass retail. This additional opportunity to work with Burton, the No. 99 team and Roush Racing is one that Tony DaDante, Vice President Mattel Toys and General Manager Hot Wheels, is excited to add to program.

"It's exciting when two proven winners team up." DaDante continued, "Hot Wheels Racing and Mattel Toys think highly of Jeff Burton from a performance standpoint as well as from a personal integrity point of view. Jeff is a great friend of Hot Wheels and we are proud to have him carry our logo in the spring Darlington race. He will surely tame the track that has been characterized as being to tough to tame."

To date Burton has accrued two wins (back-to-back in 1999), eight top-five and 12 top-10 finishes in a NEXTEL Cup car at the track deemed "Too Tough To Tame".

Burton's Busch stats are just as impressive as he has chalked up four wins, eight top-five and nine top-10 finishes. To that end, Burton will also make his 2004 Busch Series debut at Darlington that same race weekend in the No. 9 Cottman Transmission Ford.
