Schrader Chicagoland Track Notes

Schrader’s Thoughts On Chicagoland Speedway…

“Chicago’s not my home track, but it sure does come close. I grew up practically next door in St. Louis, and I’ve definitely spent my fair share of time on the dirt tracks in Illinois. I’m really glad that we have added some tracks in the Midwest to our schedule over the past couple of years because its like I’m going back home. Last year, the “M&M’s”® Racing Team didn’t have one of our better runs at Chicago, but we’re hoping to improve on that when we unload there on Friday.”

“M&M’s”® Racing At Chicagoland Speedway…

·Schrader took advantage of his trip to the Midwest this week by visiting some local dirt tracks. The Missouri native made stops at Shawano (Wis.) Speedway on Monday and at Hawkeye Downs Speedway in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on Tuesday.

· Schrader and the “M&M’s”® Racing Team tested at Indianapolis Motor Speedway for August’s Brickyard 400 on Tuesday and Wednesday. Following the test, Schrader took to the highway on his Honda Goldwing, driving from Indianapolis to Chicago.

· Schrader will be on hand to sign autographs and greet fans at the Wal-Mart in Orland Hills, Ill., on Thursday, July 11. The autograph session will run from 2-4 p.m.

· Just where in the world is Pevely, Mo.? Pevely is home to the 3/8-mile dirt track, I-55 Raceway, that Schrader co-promotes. The track is only about 30 minutes from the famous St. Louis Arch and no more than a five-hour drive from Chicagoland Speedway. Situated near the Missouri/Illinois state-line, the track will play host for “M&M’s”® Night Of Stars on July 31st. The charity race will feature Schrader, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Dale Jarrett, Kenny Wallace, Johnny Benson, Kyle Petty and others. The event will benefit Petty’s Victory Junction Gang Camp.
