Schrader Starts 18Th At Sonoma

Ken Schrader and the “M&M’s”® Racing Team faced one of the Winston Cup circuit’s toughest challenges on Friday in California’s wine country – the 12 turn, 2-mile Sears Point Raceway. The twisting turns of the unique road course is one of the most demanding tracks for both car and driver.

Schrader qualified the “M&M’s”® car in 18th place with a time of 77.642 seconds (92.270 mph). Tony Stewart, driver of the No. 20 Home Depot car, took the pole with a time of 76.640 (93.476 mph).

“I’m looking forward to the race on Sunday,” Schrader said. “This is a demanding race track, so it should be interesting for everybody.”

Sunday’s Dodge/SaveMart 350 will air live on FOX at 3 p.m. eastern time.
