Richmond Notes And Quotes

Schrader’s Thoughts On Richmond International Raceway…
“The little “M&M’s”® car has had a lot of speed this year, but we haven’t been able to put it together for a whole day. Eight out of 10 races, we’ve been right there, but bad luck has hit us every time. It’s tough on all of us, but we have to stay focused right now. We were really hoping to start our season all over again at California, but luck just wasn’t on our side. We’ve tested at Richmond, and the car was really strong. Hopefully, we’ll finally get our luck and our season turned around at Richmond.”

“M&M’s”® Racing At Richmond International Raceway…
· Richmond marks the final race for the “M&M’s”® GLOBAL COLOR VOTE™ car. Although the yellow No. 36 with splashes of aqua, pink and purple won’t take to the track again this season, voting for your favorite color continues on www.mms.com through the month of May.

People around the globe are logging their votes, and NASCAR fans have a lot at stake as they choose purple, pink or aqua. Schrader will slide behind the wheel of the winning color car at Bristol for the night race in August. He’ll also be wearing the winning color uniform. The winning color will be announced June 19th.

· It will be a hectic weekend for Schrader as he’ll have his eyes focused on two tracks about 1,000 miles apart. Of course Schrader will be driving the “M&M’s”® car at Richmond on Saturday night. Then, Schrader will make the quick trip to St. Louis where he’ll drive the Schrader Racing entry in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Race at Gateway International Raceway on Sunday afternoon. Driver Mike Wallace will qualify the truck for Schrader.

· The “M&M’s”® Racing Team tested at Richmond in April. The team will bring a brand new car to Richmond International Raceway, specially designed for the flat, short track. It is one of seven new cars in the “M&M’s”® Racing stable.
