2001 With Racingone

You may have noticed a few changes here at RacingOne through the past several days. Just like the race teams tune and test for the upcoming year, we’ve been working diligently to enhance our coverage in anticipation of the 2001 season. Please accept our apologies if you’ve encountered even a little dust during our construction.

We’re working to give you a bigger and better RacingOne. We believe we have the people and tools in place to give you unequaled coverage of the entire motorsports world. It’s our humble opinion that no other media outlet delivers the kind of in-depth view of all things racing like RacingOne.

RacingOne will have staff traveling to each and every Winston Cup event to provide the latest news, results, features and behind-the-scenes information from NASCAR’s top series.

We’ll also have immediate coverage of every Busch Series and Craftsman Truck Series event, plus reports and feature stories throughout the season. And to fully round out our comprehensive stock-car racing coverage, we’ve added a new section dedicated to the American Speed Association (ASA) AC-Delco Series and the ARCA RE/MAX Series.

On the open-wheel side, look to RacingOne for extensive coverage of the CART FedEx Championship Series and the Indy Racing Northern Light Series. We’ll have all the latest results and news from each race on both circuits as well as profiles and feature stories all season long. Also, RacingOne will give you the inside story from the Formula One World Driving Championship including unprecedented coverage on every round of the 2001 series.

For those of you who are fans of vehicles that don’t turn left (or right for that matter), RacingOne will have complete coverage of the NHRA Winston National Drag Racing Series. The NHRA is celebrating its 50th anniversary season, and 2001 promises to be an action-packed season.

Finally, on the short track scene, look to RacingOne for our continued coverage of USAC and World of Outlaws racing. We’ll keep tabs on all three USAC top divisions including Silver Crown, Midgets and Sprint Cars with up-to-the-minute results, points standings and schedule updates. Plus RacingOne is your place for the latest on the high-flying Pennzoil World of Outlaws.

Our line-up of columnists reads like a “Who’s Who” of motorsports journalism and isn't close to being matched anywhere. The roster includes Lewis Franck of the New York Times, Richard Huff of the New York Daily News, Ken Willis of the Daytona Beach News Journal, Mark Zeske of the Dallas Morning News and television veteran Rick Benjamin providing commentary on the sport in RacingOne’s “unfiltered” viewpoint. You won't read these columns anywhere else folks, they're all exclusive to RacingOne.

But that’s just a start. RacingOne’s detailed statistics, driver and track profiles and other in-depth information make this the only destination you’ll need to stay on top of the action all year long.

We’re here for you and want to hear from you, so send your ideas, comments or questions to us anytime at info@racingone.com

This season’s going to be a great ride, so hop in and hang on.

*Editor’s Note: Working in this racing business doesn’t give us much time for our personal lives, so sometimes you have to make use of every opportunity that becomes available. I’ve been blessed to have both a profession that I love, as well as someone very special in my life. She’s always there when I need her, ready to endure another late night of writing, a myriad of television highlights shows or a weekend trip to such exotic locales as Rockingham or Talladega or Nazareth. But despite this less-than-rosy picture - and before another hectic season gets underway - I’d like to ask Michele to consider making ours a permanent partnership. You’ll find a token of my affection at the bottom of your purse along with the promise of a lifetime of love, laughter and devotion. Oh, and I’ll also be able to provide you with a lifelong supply of corn dogs, beef jerky and warm beer.
**Thanks to all of you who have written since the column went up this morning. The good news is.....Michele said yes! Think I can talk her into honeymooning at Indy?
