Trickles Turn In The 60

The musical chairs game continues with the No. 60 Bessey Motorsports Winston Cup team.

This week, owner Joe Bessey has decided to put veteran driver Dick Trickle in the No. 60 Power Team Chevrolet for the UAW-GM Quality 500 at Lowe's Motor Speedway.

Last week, Bessey had Rich Bickle in the car at Martinsville, but Bickle failed to qualify for the event. The week before, Bessey was behind the wheel at Dover - and failed to make the event.

Trickle was the 1989 Winston Cup Rookie of the Year and has 296 career Winston Cup starts.

Trickle made three starts in the Power Team Chevrolet earlier in the 2000 season as a replacement for the injured Geoffrey Bodine. Bodine was recently fired by the team and is seeking employment for the 2001 season.
