Bickle Jumps In 60 Car

The No. 60 car is racing at Martinsville this weekend and that can mean only one thing… Rich Bickle is driving it.

For the second time this year, Bickle will steer the Joe Bessey-owned car in the Winston Cup event at Martinsville. Bickle, who replaces the owner as the driver, finished 30th at the track earlier this season.

Bessey failed to make the field last weekend at Dover, and finished 27th at Loudon the week earlier after firing veteran Geoffrey Bodine.

Bickle has had some success at Martinsville, placing fourth in a 1998 Cup race, and winning a Craftsman Truck Series event there in 1997.

In preparation for the event, Bickle and the No. 60 team tested at Caraway Speedway in Asheboro, N.C., on Wednesday.
