Record Breaking Day For Busch

Kyle Busch became the first NASCAR Nationwide repeat winner at New Hampshire Motor Speedway after becoming the all-time series lap leader en route to the win in the New England 200.

Busch surpassed Mark Martin for all-time laps led after leading a race-high 126 circuits. His laps led total now stands at 8,118.

“That’s pretty cool and it comes after beating one of the best – Mark Martin," Busch said. “There’s one more record I’m after, and that’s the win record to try to beat him and see how many I can get."

The victory for Busch was the 36th of his career and it put him into a tie for second on the all-time list with Kevin Harvick.

Brad Keselowski, who led 64 laps from the pole, maintained his series points lead with a second-place finish.

"We made some adjustments there at the end and got our Dodge as good as it was going to get," Keselowski said. "It came down to track position and we just didn’t quite have it. It was still a strong showing for our Ruby Tuesday Dodge. I’m happy to come out of here with a second-place finish."

Carl Edwards finished third and now trails Keselowski by 247 points in the standings.

Joey Logano finished fourth and Trevor Bayne came home a career-best fifth.

Danica Patrick finished 30th in her return to NASCAR. She finished five laps down, but was able to come back from damage after a spin on Lap 7 when Morgan Shepherd made contact.

"It was definitely a long day," Patrick said. "It's always tough when you start from behind like that, and to be a lap down so quickly, but, you know, it was a bummer to get lapped so many times, but it was a learning process."

The NASCAR Nationwide Series now heads to Daytona International Speedway for next Friday's Subway Jalapeno 250, which will mark the first race for the series' new COT car.
